 Help for !FontAdd :

  Adding Fonts:

Just drag/drop a 'suitable' font application onto the iconbar !FontAdd icon.
Any fonts contained within that application will be installed.

N.B ONLY 'properly constructed' Font directories will be accepted -
       see 'Create Dir' below.
These directories have a very similar form to the 'prototype' !Fonts
       directory found in $.!Boot.Resources .

Note: normally only about 6-10 different directories could be installed due
to the restrictions placed on the system variable Font$Path. However !FontAdd
allows many more - but it is nevertheless restricted to a maximum of 26
different directories purely for the convenience of labelling them using the
alphabet letters A-Z. This should be more than ample for most users.

Listing and displaying Font family sets:

Clicking mouse <Select> on the !FontAdd icon on the iconbar will open the
'Font families' window, which displays the names of all the font families
   currently installed.

Clicking mouse <Adjust> on the !FontAdd icon opens a 'Fonts Display' window
showing the actual style of each font weight (at 28 points).
This is the same as 'View All' from the iconbar !FontAdd menu.

Mouse <Adjust>+<Alt> gives a complete *FontCat list of weights.
This is the same as *FontCat item on the iconbar menu.

  Removing Font Paths:

Clicking mouse <Select>+<Alt> on the icon will open a 'Remove Font Paths ?'
window showing all the current font directories (labelled @,A,B,...) and the
font families they contain. ( Note that @ always denotes a non-deletable
minimum Font$Path as set in the !Run file of !FontAdd - this is probably the
   'ROM' fonts path i.e Resources:$.Fonts.).

To remove font directories from the system just type in the appropriate
letter label(s) (one or more, in any order) in the writeable icon and then
press <Return>. (Note - lower case letters can also be used.)

 Iconbar Menu :

Clicking mouse <Menu> on the iconbar icon displays the following :-

Family Sets - opens the 'Font families' window, (= <Select>).

Remove Paths - opens the 'Remove Font Paths ?' window, (= <Select>+<Alt>).

View All - opens the 'Fonts Display' window, (= <Adjust>).

*FontCat - opens a Task window on *FontCat, (= <Adjust>+<Alt>).

*FontList - opens a Task window on *FontList, giving more detailed info on
                  each cached font weight.

Default Set - This restores the font system to the users' default Font$Path,
as set up in the !Run file of !FontAdd (but probably the usual
                  i.e <Boot$Dir>.Resources.!Fonts.,Resources:$.Fonts.).

Create Dir - This open a 'SaveBox' window to create a suitable 'properly
constructed' font directory. This is basically to promote some
discipline into the management of your font collection and
gather them into somewhat similar groups according to style/
                  design/type/name etc.

Choose a suitable name for the new font directory (e.g !Sans,
!Favourites, !Gothic, !Mono, !Fonts_A, !Fonts_B etc) and then
drag the Font-directory-icon from the 'SaveBox' to a directory
                  filer window of your choice.
This new font application will now be created and its window
will be opened automatically ( - the sprite names in both
!Sprites and !Sprites22 will be set automatically to match the
                  new chosen name).
Then you must drag your various 'matching' font families into
this new directory window and re-save. That's it!

Drag/drop your new font application onto the iconbar-icon of
!FontAdd to install all the included font families.

Double-clicking on your new font application will do the same.
Note: The font families are NOT loaded when the application is
'seen' but only when 'run' (i.e double-clicked, as is normal
                  for applications).

The remaining items are the usual Info, Help and Quit options.
